Day
1 -- Flagstaff
Arrive
in Phoenix and head north out of
the city. En route to Flagstaff, visit
Montezuma Castle, a famous site with ancient
Indian ruins. Once in Flagstaff, settle
into
accommodations at a cozy inn just outside
of
town, with walking and biking trails right
outside the door. Tonight, enjoy a welcome
dinner in downtown Flagstaff.

2 -- Grand Canyon Nat'l Park
After a leisurely breakfast, head to the
Grand Canyon. On the way, discover the
region's rich geological and cultural history
with a visit to the Museum of Northern
Arizona. This afternoon, enjoy a spectacular
walk along the canyon rim with sweeping views
of the Grand Canyon and then settle into the
finest accommodations on the South Rim. El
Tovar was built in 1905 by the Santa Fe
Railroad as a luxury country club that would
combine the best of a Swiss chateau and a
Rhine castle. The architect muted the colors

Day
3 -- Grand Canyon Nat'l Park
After breakfast, enjoy a presentation by
the Grand Canyon Field Institute, a
non-profit organization offering experiential
education at the Grand Canyon. Spend the day
exploring easy trails, and learning about
the
geology and natural history of this truly
awesome canyon. At the end of the day, enjoy
another excellent meal in the historic El
Tovar dining room.

4 -- Sedona
En route to Sedona, travel through the
Navajo Reservation, browsing for hand-made
crafts at roadside Indian markets. Stop at
the Cameron Trading Post - an authentic
Indian Trading Post renown for its Indian
tacos. After lunch, explore Wupatki National
Monument with Ancestral Puebloan sites unique
for their freestanding pueblos. Upon arrival
in Sedona, settle into deluxe accommodations
along Oak Creek, and then head to Slide Rock
State Park for a hike and some swimming on
a
natural water slide! Catch a siesta back at
our inn and then dine at L'Auberge
Restaurant, one of Sedona's finest

Day
5 -- Sedona
Travel through spectacular canyons and
red
rock formations on a fun, four-wheel drive
jeep tour, with stops for rock art,
700-year-old ruins and a delicious picnic
lunch. Take advantage of an unscheduled
afternoon to visit Tlaquepaque, a showcase
for local artisans, join your guides for a
pleasant walk through Red Rock State Park
nature preserve, or relax by the pool at
L'Auberge. Golf or massage can also be
arranged. Tonight, a casual but tasty dinner
at a local restaurant.

Day
6 -- Sedona
This morning, take a short drive to the
nearby old mining town of Jerome, with
options to stop to view ruins at Tuzigoot
National Monument or to stroll through scenic
Oak Creek Canyon. Explore the streets of
Jerome, and enjoy a pleasant lunch at a local
bistro. Returning to Sedona, enjoy some free
time before a farewell dinner along the banks
of Oak Creek.
