Day
1 -- Flagstaff
Arrive
in Phoenix and head north out of
the city. Explore Montezuma Castle, a
famous
site with ancient Indian ruins. Once in
Flagstaff, settle into accommodations
at a
cozy inn just outside of town, with walking
and biking trails right outside the door.
Tonight, enjoy a welcome dinner and
orientation at the Inn.

Day
2 -- Flagstaff
Discover this region's geological wonders
and cultural history with hands-on activities
this morning at the Museum of Northern
Arizona. Then it's out into the field to
explore some of the area's natural wonders
-
like Walnut Canyon, Sunset Crater, or the
famous site of the Meteor Crater. Return to
the inn later for some rest and relaxation,
or a pleasant walk in the woods. Tonight,
enjoy dinner at one of Flagstaff's many great
restaurants, and when darkness falls, head
to
the Lowell Observatory for an evening of star
gazing and constellation identification.

Day
3 -- Grand Canyon National Park
Board the Grand Canyon Railway for an
exciting journey to the south rim of the
Grand Canyon. Enjoy this scenic,
old-fashioned mode of transportation the way
people used to when the west was the new
frontier. Upon arrival at the rim, have lunch
overlooking spectacular canyon views, and
then catch the IMAX film, featuring a glimpse
into the history of the canyon's early
explorers. Afterwards, settle into a deluxe
camp on the rim, equipped with a private
tent, comfortable inflatable mattresses, and
cozy sleeping bags. Tonight, eat a hearty
meal by the campfire and rest up for a day
filled with fun tomorrow!...

4 |
Days
4 -- Grand Canyon National Park
After a campfire breakfast, spend the
day
exploring this wondrous area. With plenty
of
guides to split the group if needed, choose
to bike along forested trails on the rim,
hike down into the canyon, or visit historic
sites in the area. Tonight, after a fresh
homemade dinner, recount stories of the day
around the campfire.

Day
5 -- Sedona
After a leisurely camp breakfast, head
south to the red-rock desert of Sedona.
Travel through the Navajo Reservation, where
several stops can be made to browse for
hand-made crafts at roadside Indian markets
and to view some petrified dinosaur tracks.
Stop for lunch at the Cameron Trading Post
-
an authentic Indian Trading Post renown for
its yummy Indian tacos. In Sedona, settle
into resort accommodations, and then head
to
Slide Rock State Park for some swimming on
a
natural water slide! Afterwards, catch a
quick siesta back at the resort and then it's
kid's night out! Parents are free tonight
to
dine at one of Sedona's ma...

Day
6 -- Sedona
Explore the canyons of Sedona in
four-wheel-drive jeeps on the most scenic
and
exciting jeep tour in the southwest! Stop
en
route for a picnic lunch on the trail.
Returning to Sedona, enjoy some free time
this afternoon before the trip's finale -
a
festive pool party at the resort with plenty
of food and fun!
