1 -- Jackson/Grand Teton National
Park
Fly into Jackson today, arriving
by early
afternoon. Meet your guides and the
other
families and head into Grand Teton
National
Park to begin the adventure! Enjoy
a fun
welcome meeting this afternoon and
settle
into this family resort in the heart
of the
park. Tonight, gaze out the massive
picture
windows in the lodge's main restaurant
as youfeast on a tasty dinner.

Day
2 -- Grand Teton National Park
Get ready for a full day of exploring
in
the park! This morning, warm up with
an easy hike to a lakeside picnic lunch
spot, taking time along the way to identify
wildflowers and animal tracks. This
afternoon, continue touring the park,
viewing wildlife, and visiting an old
homestead cabin. Then, head to Colter
Bay for a boat cruise on Jackson Lake
and a cookout dinner on Elk Island.

Day
3 -- Yellowstone National Park
Pedal along through sagebrush
flats this
morning on sturdy mountain bikes,
taking in
stunning views of the Grand Tetons
and
keeping an eye out for moose, elk,
and bald
eagles. After lunch, travel north
into
Yellowstone National Park and begin
to
explore this fascinating landscape.
After
settling into accommodations at the
historic
Lake Hotel, enjoy strolling along
the lake
this evening and dinner in the elegant
dining
room.

Day
4 -- Yellowstone National Park
A diverse day of exploring in
Yellowstone
provides plenty of time to marvel
at mud
volcanoes, steaming caves that roar
like
dragons, spouting geysers, and bubbling
mud pots. View buffalo and elk herds,
search for wolves and coyotes with
spotting scopes, and learn to identify
the tracks and scat of all the park's
wildlife with knowledgeable guides.
Short walks lead away from the park's
crowds and into the varied landscapes
of this unique ecosystem.

Day
5 -- Snake River Overnight
Before leaving Yellowstone, try
catching a
few trout on a fishing outing on Yellowstone
Lake. After lunch, head south to Jackson
Hole for a rafting and camping adventure
on the Snake River. Begin with a gentle
eight-mile float, with excellent opportunities
to see deer, elk, beaver, eagles and
osprey, before arriving at a comfortable
riverside camp. Enjoy a delicious campfire
dinner and trade stories under the stars
before retiring to snug tent cabins
and warm sleeping bags.
Note: The whitewater overnight trip
is not
included on the June 29th departure
in order
to accommodate younger children.

6 -- Jackson Hole Guest Ranch
After a hearty camp breakfast, bounce
and
bob through splashy rapids on the moderate
whitewater section of the Snake River
Canyon. After lunch, head to Spotted
Horse Ranch for a barbecue picnic lunch
and a horse orientation this afternoon.
Settle into
private log cabins at this authentic
guest
ranch along the banks of the Hoback
River,
with plenty of time to relax in this
unstructured environment. Enjoy home-cooked
meals in the main lodge dining room
and an evening visit from a guest storyteller.
After dinner, kids can play games in
the rec room while parents enjoy the
lounge, sauna, and whirlpool.

Day
7-8 -- Jackson Hole Guest Ranch
Relish the cowboy life at this delightful
guest ranch. Ride horses through scenic
forests, fish for trout, explore hiking
trails, improve your horseshoe game,

relax on the riverside deck. One afternoon,
head to the summit of 10,450-foot Rendezvous
Mountain on the Jackson Hole Aerial
Tram. Learn how plants and animals survive
in this fragile alpine environment and
why fossils can be found on a mountain-top!
The final evening includes a trip into
town for the famous Jackson Hole Rodeo,
with authentic barrel racers and bull
riders.
