Day1

Day 1 -- Mammoth Hot Springs, YNP
Arrive in Bozeman, Montana by early
afternoon. Drive along the massif of the
towering 11,000-foot Absaroka Mountains en route to Yellowstone. Look for trumpeter
swans, bald eagles, mule deer, bighorn sheep, pronghorn, elk, and bison against a backdrop of snowy grandeur. Upon arrival in Mammoth, watch the elk herds near the terraced limestone hot springs. Tonight, enjoy a welcome dinner at the historic Mammoth Hot Springs Hotel.

Day 2 Day 2 -- Lamar Valley, YNP
This morning, travel into the beautiful
Lamar Valley to scope for wolves among the
elk and bison herds. Learn from your guides
about how wildlife adapts to winter in this
snowy climate. In the afternoon, when the
wildlife is laying low, opt to relax, ice
skate, snowshoe, or cross-country ski around Mammoth Hot Springs. Marvel at the wild volcanic rock formations, brilliant colors, and intense steam coming from hot springs along the river. Travel to nearby Gardiner for a delicious dinner. Back at Mammoth Hotel, hot tubs are available for rent.

Day 3

Day 3 -- Yellowstone Nat'l Park
Today, travel to Old Faithful Snowlodge in
a private bombardier snowcoach;a comfortable, heated vehicle equipped with tracks to travel on snow. Along the route, stop to view wildlife and explore various bubbling mud pots and geysers at steaming Norris Geyser Basin. View the breathtaking frozen waterfalls at the Grand Canyon of the
Yellowstone, and the icy shores of Lake
Yellowstone before arriving at Old Faithful
Snow Lodge just in time for dinner.

Day 4

Day 4 -- Old Faithful Geyser Basins,
YNP

Guides lead treks;via snowshoes or
cross-country skis; through the snow-filled
wonderland, watching for wildlife and
exploring the incredible thermal features
that dot the landscape of Yellowstone's Upper Geyser Basin. Watch the blasts of Old Faithful, Giantess and Castle geysers and the steamy pools of Biscuit Basin. After dinner, enjoy a nighttime stroll in one of the most incredible constellation-viewing locations in the world.

Day 5 Day 5 -- Chico Hot Springs
Another private snowcoach journey takes us
to our final destination, the historic Chico
Hot Springs Lodge in Montana's aptly-named Paradise Valley. Enjoy a soak in the relaxing natural hot springs pool, and a fabulous farewell dinner in the celebrated Chico dining room.

Day 6 Day 6 -- Depart from Bozeman
Depart this morning for Bozeman, a
two-hour drive, to catch flights home.
Flights should be scheduled for no earlier
than 11 a.m.
