Travel from Bozeman to settle
into this
historic lodge at Chico Hot Springs.
Soak in
the natural spring-fed swimming pool
to relax and then gather for a trip
orientation and a delicious dinner
in the acclaimed restaurant.

Day
2 -- Chico Hot Springs
A favorite local hike, the trek
to Pine
Creek Falls, is a short one-mile trail
that
leads to an impressive 200-foot waterfall.
Take in the breathtaking views before
heading back to catch an afternoon,
fun-filled whitewater rafting trip down
the Yellowstone River, ending with a
riverside meal.

Day
3 -- Yellowstone National Park
Travel into Yellowstone, exploring
the
upper loop of the park. Hike among
Mammoth's limestone and hydrothermal
features, the colorful Norris Geyser
Basin and to view the impressive waterfall
of the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone
set among the painted canyon walls.
At day's end, settle into lakeside
hotel accommodations, and after an
early dinner, venture out into the
Hayden Valley for prime wildlife-viewing
opportunities at dusk.

Day
4 -- Yellowstone National Park
Spend the morning experiencing
the silence
and freedom of kayaking on a deep,
clear lake in the heart of Yellowstone.
Paddle along Lake Yellowstone's scenic
shoreline, in view of natural wonders
of geysers, hot springs and mud pots
erupting and spilling over into the
lake. During the afternoon, explore
the Old Faithful's geyser basin, filled
with colorful hot springs and thundering
fumaroles in addition to the famous
geysers. At day's end, relax on the
front porch of the historic Lake Hotel
before dinner.

Day
5 -- Red Lodge
Departing Yellowstone, we travel
through
the open meadows of the wildlife-rich
Lamar
Valley, scoping for bison and wolves
along
the way. Soon, we're climbing up the
celebrated Beartooth Scenic Highway,
rising
above timberline to impressive high
lake
plateau country. Wildflowers abound
as do
spectacular views and incredible hiking
in
this area. At day's end, settle into
this
historic downtown hotel and gather for
a
delicious dinner in Red Lodge. After
dinner,
stroll the historic downtown and visit
the
small shops and galleries.

6 |
Day
6 -- Red Lodge
Spend the day at a 5th generation
working
ranch lying in the Clarks Fork Valley
between the Pryor Mountains and Beartooth
mountains. Become a cowgirl (or boy)
for the day as you join ranch wranglers
to ride the open range, move cattle
and check fencelines. Upon our return
to Red Lodge, dine at a local restaurant
that holds true Montana character and
charm.
