A RANGE
OF JOURNEYS TO MATCH YOUR SPECIAL INTERESTS
Many
companies cover the world. We cover five spectacular western
regions. Think "hand-engineered perfection" versus
"mass production."
It's like
hooking one big fish as opposed to casting a shrimp net. It
allows us to craft journeys that go deep, varying in look,
feel, size, speed, and duration. With one common thread: profound
experiences not found in your typical trip.
Nature
Discovery. Nature is deliberate. Take the hint.
Our Nature Discoveries are designed to provide ample time to
learn and explore nature at a gentle pace. Delve into the ecology,
biology and geology of a unique location. Do more than observe.
Understand. Delight in a solitary herd of Yellowstone's bison,
one playful bear in the Tetons, the thunder of an Alaskan calving
glacier, or the sound of your voice as it echoes from the depths
of a Southwestern red rock canyon.
Family
Adventure. Encouraging kids to sit really far from the TV.
Our Family Adventures combine enthusiastic, knowledgeable guidance
with fun, interactive experiences that lead travelers of all
ages to a deeper understanding of our natural playgrounds. Watch
your day-hike turn into an impromptu wildlife safari, then enjoy
a quiet night camping under the stars. There are firsts for
everyone: dinosaur digs, jeep tours, llama trekking, soaking
in a natural hot spring, even an entrée into rock climbing.
Fly
Fishing Adventure. Blue-ribbon spots known only to us. And a
few thousand fish.
The world's best fly fishing is in our backyard. And we know
its secrets. We also know that landing a line-peeling cutthroat
doesn't have to come at the expense of appreciating the scenery,
the wildlife, or fine, regionally unique accommodations. We
cater to experts and novices alike, who want the best of the
West's blue ribbon runs and riffles.
Western
Discovery. Mosey on into the past.
The Old West can still be seen, felt and heard, with the help
of our guides - cowboy poets, tribal members and history buffs,
who are steeped in the cultures that continue to shape the West.
Visit a buffalo jump with a Blackfeet Tribal member, smell the
sage from horseback during a week at a dude ranch, paddle the
Missouri in Lewis and Clark's wake, or whoop it up at a down-home
rodeo.
Active
Adventure. Located approximately 180º from the poolside
lounge.
Mountain trails, wild rivers, and unspoiled seacoasts hold standing
invitations for exploration. Geared to suit many levels of ability,
these journeys provide daily opportunities to participate with
Nature on her own playground. Crest a Rocky Mountain ridgeline,
negotiate a kayak down a low tide coastline, play in the pools
as you raft a river, or keep your eye on the scenery (instead
of the trail) as you travel by horse into the wilderness.
