What's important at the Outdoor Adventures Network? Somewhere along life's trail, we have become convinced that the key to creating a really great organization is an intense focus on the governing values and beliefs that will guide it's people's actions in everything they do. The following is what we have labeled as the "Governing Values and Beliefs" of the Outdoor Adventures Network! • Respect -- Respect the individual, and believe that when an individual is treated with respect and given responsibility will respond by giving their best every time.
• Integrity -- We require integrity and complete honesty in everything we do.
• Commitment -- We make commitments with thought as well as concern, and then live up to them. In all things, we do what we say we are going to.
• Fun -- Work is an important part of life, and it should be fun. Being a professional business person does not mean being a crabby, stuffy or boring.
• Frugal -- We are frugal. We guard and conserve the company's resources with the same due diligance we use to guard and conserve our own personal resources.
• Effort -- We insist on giving our very best effort in everything we undertake. Furthermore, we see a tremendous difference between the "good mistakes" (best effort, bad results) and the "bad mistakes" (sloppiness or lack of effort) in the things we as a company and individually attempt.
• Clarity -- Clarity in understanding and communicating our mission, our goals, purpose and what we expect from each other is critical to our success.
• Golden Rule -- We believe in the age old Golden Rule. In our dealings we strive to be friendly and courteous, as well as fair and compassionate.
• Urgency -- We feel a sense of urgency on any matters related to our customers, each other and our partners. We own problems, take responsibility for them and always strive for a win/win resolution.
